西方:單刀直入
Asians: Talk around the circle, especially if opinions are different
東方:拐彎抹角，尤其意見不同時
(2) Way of Life 生活方式
Westerners: individualistic, thinks of himself or herself only.
西方:個人主義，只想到自己
Asians: enjoy gathering with family and friends, solving their problems, and know each other's business.
東方:喜歡跟親友聚在一起，解決問題，還有了解彼此在做些什麼

Westerners: on time.
西方:準時
Asians: in time.
東方:差不多就好...(*in time是 "及時趕上"、"來得及"的意思)
(4) Contacts 人脈
Westerners: Contact to related person only.
西方:只接觸相關的人
Asians: Contact everyone everywhere, business very successful.
東方:到處跟人接觸。很會做生意。
(5) Anger 生氣時
Westerners: Show that they are angry.
西方:怒氣形於色
Asians: When angry, still smiles. (Beware!)
東方:怒氣不形於色，照樣微笑 (要小心啊!)

Westerners: Queuing in an orderly manner.
西方:乖乖排隊!
Asians: Queuing?! What's that?
東方:排隊? 那是啥?

西方:風景盡收眼底
Asians: Taking picture is most important; scenery is just for background.
東方:照相最重要!! 風景只是背景

西方:盡力解決!!
Asians: Try to avoid conflicts, and if possible, don't leave any trail.
東方:盡力迴避!! 如果可以，最好不留下足跡

Westerners: Good meal for once a day is sufficient
西方:只有一餐是大餐
Asians: At least 3 good meals a day.
東方:"至少"有三頓大餐
(13) Transportation 交通方式
Westerners: Previously drove cars, now cycle for environmental protection.
西方:以前開車，現在騎腳踏車(環保)
Asians: Previously had no money and rode a bike, now have money and drive a car
東方:以前騎腳踏車(窮)，現在開車
(14) Elderly in day-to-day life 年老時
Westerners: When old, there is snoopy for companionship.
西方:狗是老人忠實的朋友 (老人與狗...)
Asians: When old, guaranteed will not be lonely, as long as willing to babysit grandkids.
東方:老了，只要願意帶小孩，保證不會寂寞 (祖孫情...)
(15) Moods and Weather 心情&天氣
Westerners: The logic is: rain is pain.
西方:下雨好痛苦
Asians: More rain, more prosperity
東方:雨越多越旺!! (應該是在講農村時代，天降甘霖，風調雨順)
(16) The Boss 老闆
Westerners: The boss is part of the team.
西方:老闆是團隊的一份子
Asians: The boss is a fierce god.
東方:老闆是神..."凶殘"的神
(17) What's Trendy 趕潮流
Westerners: Eat healthy Asian cuisine.
西方:吃健康的東方食物
Asians: Eat expensive Western cuisine.
東方:吃貴森森的西方食物
(18) The Child 小孩
Westerners: The kid is going to be independent and make his/her own living.
西方:小孩會獨立
Asians: Slog whole life for the kid, the centre of your life.
東方:小孩是全家人的生活重心 (*註:centre是英式拼法，等於center)
